So far I have loved every aspect of this book. This is a huge book. With page after of beautiful reproductions of Muybridge's motion studies, it gives an exhaustive look at this most famous aspect of his career. One is overwhelmed by the sheer volume of images. My major complaint would be the cover. At first I was hesitant to buy this book thinking the editors had stylized Muybridge's work. The cover indicates as much. I pleased to find that they left things alone. Aside from a few enlargements, the book contains straight reproductions of Muybridges work. These are wonderful though I would have loved to see more cyanotypes.
