The exhibit also traveled to Cologne, Hagen, Frankfurt and Berlin.§ From 1911-13, Marc painted his largest body of work completing over 200 paintings.§ In 1912, Marc's work was greatly influenced by French Cubist painter Robert Delaunay. His work became increasingly abstract and stark in nature.§ In 1913, Marc painted one of his best known works 'Fate of the Animals.' The painting was a premonition of the impending horrors of World War I.§ In 1914, Marc joined the German army. In March of 1916, he was killed in combat near Verdun, France.

I did not know that there are so many works and that he died so young. I recommend this is a good one for your collection . Lots of art done on small postcards and small pieces of paper just as powerful as the large canvases .
