The PreTime Primer piano series is a fantastic way to motivate little ones to practice and develop their playing skills. This particular book in the series is full of popular songs all kids know and love. In this book you will find 3/4 and 4/4 time with mostly quarter notes, half notes, and dotted half notes. There are just a very few sharps thrown in a couple of songs, and a very few eighth notes in a couple (Happy Birthday being one), as well. The songs are in middle C position, C position, and some are just a step between the two positions allowing the young child to experience playing songs with different finger combinations and expand their abilities. This book of songs makes playing and practicing fun and would make a wonderful recital book for the early beginner.
